I’ve seen the retiform style of card around a lot recently so I thought I’d have a go at making one myself. Here it is –
I made this card for a swap that had to have masculine things in it, so this was a good excuse to use the wonderful Guy Greetings and almost all the stamps in it! I also used the motorbike from One Wid Ride.
To get this effect you need to mask off bits of the card, sponge the edges, then stamp the image.
I have seen this style of card made with different colour partitions, but I used Soft Suede and Chocolate Chip here.
I hope you like it – I’m not sure I’ll be making lots of this style, but it was an interesting experiment.
By the way, the Guy Greetings stamp set is one of very few that is available in Photopolymer, wood mount rubber, or clear-mount rubber.
WOW, I love this technique and fab male cards. They are always a challenge. Maybe a good one for a craft workshop?
Absolutely if you want to have a go we can do it at a workshop!
